About me
Isaiah Hawkins is an arranger, songwriter, and music educator from Auburn Hills, Michigan. An a cappella musician and arranger for over 12 years, he directed State of Fifths at Michigan State University, co-founded the MSU Spartones, and coached a number of local high school groups. He also has a Masters in Public Policy from Harvard Kennedy School and has published writings on his teaching philosophy of democratic music education. Currently, he works as a state election official in Michigan and sings with Odyssey and TBD A Cappella. Isaiah lives by the idea that “Music is Storytelling”, and is passionate about using music to bring about social change in the world.
