About me
Kat Smith is a professional a cappella choreographer based out of Dayton, Ohio. A Pittsburgh native, Kat graduated from the University of Dayton and currently serves as the Vocal Director of the Miami Valley School, home to the award winning a cappella group "Ars Nova." Since 2017, Kat has choreographed numerous award winning sets at every level, taught masterclasses and clinics at national festivals such as NE Voices, NACC, BOSS, and So Jam, and currently serves as the choreographer for both A Cappella Academy and Camp A Cappella. Kat's choreography is rooted in intuitive, effective movement that keeps singers in grounded performance posture.
